Nuttawee Danvivatanaporn, Class 06
Current place of residence: Bangkok, Thailand
Currently working as: Supply Chain Lead, go-to-market at Unilever (until Aug'23), now self-employed at my own business venture :)

Where are you currently working and what is the biggest issue that you are facing at work or what is currently keeping you busy there?
I previously worked with Unilever until Aug'23, taking care of Supply Chain go-to-market (Planning, import and customer service) for Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. Given these are high-growth markets, there was no single day that I was not busy ðŸ™‚. Especially for Myanmar, biggest market in the group. Managing supply chain through their political instability on top of global supply chain disruption after pandemic, could never been more tough, but fulfilling job at the same time to keep local people earn their living amid hardship in country. Anyway, after almost 2 decades of working from R&D through multiple parts of supply chain, I left my corporate job and decided to follow my passion to pursue my own business venture, which is still in nascent stage but full with excitement for me!

Has there been a professional challenge since you were a student for which your studies or experiences at the NIT have prepared you for perfectly?
Definitely, MBA classes at the NIT was very good fundamental for me every time I took on a new position, more or less I can adapt the lesson to any challenged circumstances with some twist for ever-changing landscapes that we have learned might not be wholly applicable. Not to mention exposure to multi-cultural environment with all classmates! That gives me skill to lead my multi-national team smoothly when I took regional roles and also managing global/regional stakeholders!

What has happened in your private life in the meantime?
I was relocated few times, spent few years in Singapore and short stint in China with countless trips around the world for my vacations, until Covid put a brake on my plan and slowly be able to resume again. Being single gives me a high degree of freedom, only my 2 dogs keeps me returning home and can't be away too long!

What is your most precious / special / remarkable memory from your time studying at the NIT?
Funny to mention that 'Asian kitchen' comes first to my mind! As my room (3.15) was located right across common kitchen, we always had a big cooking spree with Asian classmates (you know who!) that took hours!! and others (both Asian and non-asian) will be our regular guests. I'll leave complaint on unpleasant smell from some aside (lol).

How to keep in touch with me:
